Training

Our RISE (Roofing Installation and Systems Education) Program delivers the breadth, depth and flexibility to keep you and your team at the top of your game.

Training is one of the most powerful tools in a roofing professional’s arsenal, and we take great pride in offering one of the best programs in the industry. We firmly believe that training is not a “one-and-done” process or something that is “nice to have,” but something that must be ongoing for every roofing professional. That goes for contractors, our distributor partners and our own associates, too.

Our RISE (Roofing Installation and Systems Education) Program delivers the breadth, depth and flexibility to keep you and your team at the top of your game.

Options to meet your needs

We offer courses for any low-slope roofing professional, from those new to the industry to those who long ago lost track of the number of roofs they have walked.

  • “Introduction to Low-Slope Roofing” is designed for those new to low-slope roofing. Learn the essentials, including the differences between low-slope and steep-slope roofs, the components and anatomy of a low-slope roof, and overviews of the various low-slope roofing products.
  • Experienced in low-slope roofing but new to a specific roofing system? Our introductory courses will provide the foundation you need to get started. Courses are offered in TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen and coatings. Each covers the situations the system is most appropriate for, how to accurately estimate a job, how to install or apply the materials efficiently and according to specification, and the warranty options offered.
  • Ready for more advanced instruction? Follow-up classes in each roofing system type will help you hone your skills and expand your knowledge, become more efficient and be able to tackle more complex jobs.
  • We also can develop custom programs based on the specific requirements of an upcoming job.

Expert Instructors

Courses are taught by some of the most knowledgeable professionals in low-slope roofing – our territory managers, our field technical representatives and our training department team. All are passionate about sharing their product and technical expertise and the lessons they have learned during their years in the business.

Hands-On Experience

Courses take participants through all stages of the learning process, culminating with opportunities to build a roof from the ground up. They begin with classroom-style instruction that provides a foundational understanding of the topic. Demonstrations by the instructors then show how that knowledge is put into practice. Participants then get essential hands-on experience doing it themselves.
